Shana Morrison inizia il suo percorso musicale con il gruppo Calidonia nella baia di San Francisco nel 1996.
Nel 1998 il suo album di debutto, che porta lo stesso nome della band, all’inizio viene autoprodotto e già nel 1999 viene ereditato dalla Monster Music label ricevendo recensioni molto positive dal Los Angeles Time, il San Francisco Chronicle ed il San Francisco Examiner. Alle critiche positive seguirà poi un tour in tutto lo stato. Datato 2002 il suo album 7 wishes riscuote nuovamente un grande successo ed i favori della critica e delle radio.
Nell’arco degli anni Shana ha tenuto concerti benefici per la Oakland’s American Legends Fundation, suonato con artisti del calibro di Brownie McGee e Charles Brown, condiviso il palco con Bonnie Raitt, John Lee Hooker e Dr. John, ha partecipato al San Francisco Blues Festival e molti altri aprendo i concerti di Lyle Lovett, Joe Cocker, Michael MacDonald, John Hyatt, Keb Mo’ e Bob Weir.
L’esposizione mediatica di Shana tra molteplici alter cose annovera un’esibizione live per la BBC al Kelly Show ed un’apparizione ai BRIT Awards nel 1996, è apparsa su People nel 1997, su Rolling Stone nel 1999 e nello show di Howard Stern nel 2002.
Dal 2002 Shana è stata in tour negli Stati Uniti, Germania, Italia, Irlanda, Inghilterra, ha suonato per le radio, neil club, ai festivals e tra le sue apparizioni più importanti c’è sicuramente la House Of Blues di Cambridge, the Bottom Line a New York, l’Arezzo Wave ad Arezzo, il Borderline di Londra, il Cork Jazz festival ed altri ancora.
Nel 2006 Shana ha affiancato suo padre Van Morrison nel tour degli Stati Uniti, è cresciuta come cantante, come artista e come compositrice.
